iCircuit is getting 555s

If there is one common theme to the support emails iCircuit has received, it's that people want 555 timers! Well it's a good day because the 555 is beginning to work! Some small bugs to work out, but she's coming along nicely!

The Tao of Mac likes iCircuit

The Tao of Mac likes iCircuit:

Amazing-looking electronics simulation app that I would have loved to have had while doing coursework back in the 90s

Make Magazine Blog Mentions iCircuit

The fantastic Make Magazine has mentioned iCircuit in their blog!

I gave the app a quick spin on the iPad, and it definitely shows a lot of potential. The simulator had a tendency to lag a bit behind my realtime changes to the schematic, and the UI took some getting used to, but for $10 it sure beats the mobile simulator competition (which is pretty much nonexistent, to my knowledge).

In any case - a handy tool to have around when away from the lab. As the developer notes, the software is rather CPU-intensive so newer devices are recommended (iPhone 3GS or later)

iCircuit 1.0 has been released!

Version 1.0 has finally seen the light of day!

Early feedback from users has been very positive - people are creating circuits that I've never seen (be sure to use the Mail feature)! It's very exciting to see the app being used and enjoyed.

Please send your feedback so you can have a say in what features are added to V1.1!
